Aircraft Maintenance Technician

Primary Function:

  • To perform line maintenance and inspections, as required, on company aircraft

Major Responsibilities:

  • Performs inspections, as required, on company aircraft
  • Performs troubleshooting and line maintenance on company aircraft
  • Performs preventive maintenance on company aircraft
  • Fuels and services aircraft in preparation for flight
  • Performs exterior preflight inspections on company aircraft before the first flight of each day, and discusses any discrepancies with the pilot in command
  • Grounds aircraft from flight, when necessary, for maintenance-related safety issues
  • Maintains the cleanliness of the aircraft, inside and out
  • Maintains shop and hangar tools and equipment
  • Accompanies flight crews on maintenance test flights, when necessary

Position Requirements:

  • Academic:
    • FAA Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) Certificate
  • Experience:
    • Knowledge of and experience with the maintenance of aircraft of the class, category, and type that the company operates
    • 1-year aviation maintenance experience
